Why Mesh Covers For Swimming Pools?
If you’re like most people, when you think of covers for swimming pools, the pictures that comes to mind is of a solid cover that pretty much catches everything. This of course would include any water that may land on it from rain or sprinklers.
But have you ever stopped to consider what eventually becomes of the water and “what ever else” gets trapped on the surface of a standard pool pool cover? After all, there is no drain in it. The fact is that it’s you to owner who’s responsible for removing all the muck and its is an incredibly filthy job.
That’s right muck! Remember that it’s leaves and even small dead animals that also join in to create this toxic soup that can build up to amount to hundreds of gallons in extreme cases. A load that can even come to weigh at over a thousand pounds.
So now you can perhaps understand why so many people who have swimming pools in their yards are opting for new “mesh” covers. Most particularly, people who have to deal with a lot of rain, sprinkler over spray and heavy foliage.
No, mesh pool covers don’t catch and contain everything. They do however, contain the vast majority of it and most particularly the larger debris. Removing a mesh pool cover that’s filled with debris is so much easier because all the water that lands in it simply passes through.
Of course there’s some screen work that has to be done after its taken off of swimming pools but in the balance it’s just a much a simpler and cleaner task than having to physically remove and dispose of a huge mass of rotting putrid goop. Of course the pool filter is used to complete the final clean up task.
